The problem: hard, heavy, sticky soil

Sodic clay soils are hard to cultivate, form large clods when dry, and let very little water infiltrate. The sodium in these soils causes the clay to swell and disperse, which is why they set like concrete in the dry and turn to sticky mush in the wet — a costly problem for both agricultural land and bulk earthworks.

The solution: natural screened gypsum

Calcium in gypsum displaces the sodium bound to the clay, transforming big clods into a fine, easily worked texture. Drainage improves and locked-up minerals become available for plant nutrition — hard ground becomes open, workable soil.

We work to your Soil Management Plan: bulk natural or fine screened gypsum supplied and delivered by our own fleet, spread with bulk bin spreaders, and incorporated at the specified depth with heavy-duty 4WD tractors, ploughs and discs. Drying, amelioration and post-treatment grass seeding are available to complete the job.
