FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on soil treatments, haulage and how we work.

What areas do you service?

We are based at Pimpama on the northern Gold Coast and work across Queensland and Northern New South Wales — Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Toowoomba and the Darling Downs, out to Western Queensland, and south through Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, Ballina, Lismore, Grafton and Coffs Harbour.

What is acid sulphate soil treatment?

Acid sulphate soils produce sulphuric acid once excavation or drainage exposes them to air, damaging waterways, farmland and structures. We neutralise them with agricultural lime — supplied, spread at the specified rate and incorporated to depth in accordance with your site’s Acid Sulphate Soil Management Plan.

Do you supply lime and gypsum as well as spread it?

Yes. We source and deliver bulk agricultural lime, natural gypsum and dolomite with our own truck and dog fleet, then spread and incorporate it with our own tractors and implements — one contractor from quarry to finished treatment. 1-tonne bulka bags of ag lime and gypsum are also available.

How does gypsum improve heavy clay soil?

The calcium in natural gypsum displaces the sodium that makes sodic clay soils swell, stick and set hard. Treated ground drains better, cultivates easier and releases locked-up minerals for plant nutrition — turning hard, heavy country into open, workable soil.

Is your fleet accredited and insured?

Yes. We hold NHVAS accreditation for Mass Management (MASS) and Basic Fatigue Management (BFM), are members of the National Safety Council of Australia, and carry goods-in-transit insurance including loading and unloading.

Can I hire a tractor with an operator?

Yes — our tractors and implements come with experienced operators. Heavy-duty 4WD tractors matched with bulk bin spreaders, ploughs, discs, seed drills, slashers and stick-and-stone rakes for civil and agricultural sites.
